This past semester I learned to cook from my roommate who’s father is a chef, and my other roommate who is from china! both of them have taught me some really diverse cooking skills that i never knew i could ever develop. also, i have become sort of a clean freak. i hate picking up after other people, but this year i have gotten to the point where i get so fed up with the dirtiness in the dorm that i start vacuuming and mopping and scrubbing. my mom laughs and says that she always knew i had it in me, it was just a matter of when it would bust out and shine!

I can’t roast a chicken, or bake a pie, or clean, or remember to switch the laundry, or sew, or vaccuum for the life of me. (or spell, but that has nothing to do with this goal). and its a shame because my nana made me such a pretty apron years ago. anyway, I don’t even know how to determine which long distance phone service to use, let alone run a household. its not that i want to be a 1950’s housewife, its that everyone; men, women, hemaphrodites, italian men, etc (lets not discriminate here) should know how to take care of themselves and the house, because hey, its not like you’re gunna always live with a spouse or your parents.
