I had twin baby girls seven months ago, after having to lay still for three months on bed rest. Everything aches. I want to feel the breeze in hair . . .

Three miles is a good distance if you havn’t run much before. Just start with some good run/walking and build up. Most people should be able to run it if they are in decent shape.
Inside: 2.8 mi, outside 3.2 miles. I’ve even done them during the same running session (i.e. 6 mi total). It’s a good run, but can get boring if you do it every week like I do…
I’m averaging the GL run about 2 times a week now. Swimming the 9 laps at West Green Lake Beach – totals 1/2 mile – about 3 times a week. None of this is that challenging until I start to push the speed up. Got passed by 2 babes yesterday and it was exhilerating. Maybe I need a female running friend for inspiration.
It is specially fun running it on the outside, it gets to crowded in the inside track. Run it and stop to smell the roses once in a while.
i run around green lake at least run times a week. i’ve been training for a triathlon, so this is an ideal spot to run. i have tendonitis, so running up and down hills isn’t enjoyable, and it’s great to know exactly how far you are running—easy to see your imporvement!

I used to run Green Lake a lot. My fav is running the outer perimeter, which is dirt, less crowded and most the cute, trichickas and elite femme runners do the same.
Also, two great running stores are right there.

Try a new pair of shoes on and take a spin…
Green Lake is a great place to run. I think its 2.8 if you run the inner loop. I take my dog and run there a couple times a week. Its beautiful and lots of fellow runners.
