I started the day late, after sleeping late, having passed much of Friday and Friday night reading Harry Potter and the Prophesy, or whatever the 5th book is titled. As I said, I started late, with a little work on that other goal of memorizing “The Cremation of Sam McGee.” So I read and re-read that:

When I had done with that for the day, I resumed reading from the day before yesterday, I think, my first time enjoying and reading from the journal Rattle, starting with Joe Pierre’s “They can’t touch you,” in issue number 24, winter 2005.
There are ten poets featured in this issue, Arlene Ang, Michelle Bitting, Paula Bonnell, and more. There are also a few good essays in the issue. It’s at least worth your time looking it up online, and if you haven’t bought any poetry journals or books lately, you might well buy yourself a hard copy.
