...well, no not really! (that is actually a song title for those who don’t know).
I have done volunteer work in my local community for LifeLine, St. Vinny’s, Holy Cross laundry and 4ZZZ radio so I want to be able to reach out to people who are less fortunate than myself and help them get their lives together again.
And then I start my practicum and internship. Should be fun squeezing in an extra 20 hours a week on top of my full-time job, but I’m sure I can do it. Now I just need to find a site.
I’m already doing this in a sense via my column however I’m not ready to go full blast chasing this goal, so I’m putting this on the “I give up” list.

I want to become a metaphysical psychologist, particularly the counselor. I don’t wanna do the regular stuff they do, I want to take it beyond. I’ve felt a pull toward it for a while now, but when I studied psychology in college, I wasn’t too excited about the classes or my reading materials. Something was off. Now I know what. I’m interested in theories & people who contributed to psychology since the beginning & all that Freudian stuff. But to me it’s just too dry. I do believe in behavioral methods that traditional psychology offers, but we need to go beyond that, to try to understand the real meaning behind it all. I know that I have much potential that I’ll definitely realize one day!
Yesterday I posted to over 5 blogs and groups on yahoo regarding relationship issues. I give a brief analysis and then offer some self-improvement techniques. That will be my formula.
I LUV posting advice. I even pulled out the latest book I’ve been reading Don’t Be That Girl…And I updated the Advice document I’m working on.
I decided this is what I want to do. I am already finding out which classes in need to have the minimal requirements. I am taking small steps at a time. Next step an intro course and the GRE.
I would like to go to college and major in Social Work and become an adolescent counselor so that I can help teenagers like me.
