I don’t know if I should tick this goal as done or give up on it. I can be nice to my parents only when I’m away or when I don’t spend too much time with them. I can’t help it.
But now I’m away so it’s ok.

Sure they aren’t ideal. But thay are my parents, they brought me up, and I’m being an idiot, always looking for a pretext to quarrel with them…

Not a goal that can be ticked off, really, one that needs working on continuously—but I do feel I’ve made an enormous amount of progress since setting this goal. Spent a couple of weeks at home before Christmas, just hanging about with ma and pa and seeing what they do all day. Was great to get to know them as normal people. Now have lots of plans for exciting family events and holidays in 2006, and am looking forward to all of them.
