make a photomosaic

(note to self: remember to put a title on these, since on some pages they show up in a lump with no context).

I have a few ideas for what I’d like to do, but I need to pick one and go with it. I need more photos no matter which project I pick, but I otherwise have no idea how to go about it, other than printing out hundreds of tiny pictures and start playing with them. A friend of mine has a program that produces a cross-stitch pattern from a photo – that sounds like a good place to start.

I used to be an avid collector of stamps. I’m not sure how long this lasted (it’s still going on a little bit now), but somewhere along the way, I thought to myself…why bother keeping these around if they don’t even do anything? So one day, I decided that I want to gather all the stamps I’ve collected and make a photomosaic. I’m not sure what picture I’m going to make yet, but once I see what colors and styles I have, I’ll figure that out.
