Nursing (was in the process of doing this; have the opportunity to start again come September if things go my way)
Teaching -I was reading a personal statement type thing we had to write in school when I was maybe 15. My goals then were to either nurse or teach. I worry that teaching is too structured and requires more responsibility than I deem necessary.
Lawyer -I don’t know why. It made up the trilogy (along with nursing and teaching) that has always stayed in the back of mind. I think it’s only because I enjoy throwing (largely made-up) legal terms around with an air or all-knowing superiority. But I am intimidated by those people I know that are working their way up to being lawyers. Somewhere down the road, I seem to have lost belief in myself, in all aspects but in this example, notably, my intellect. I feel stupid. It wouldn’t be so bad if I was beautiful and dumb, not that I would necessarily sacrifice intellect for beauty but it would be nice of the universe gave me something to play with.
get a marketable talent on board or sell random shit and acquire me a stall in Camden; be barefooted and bejewelled with jewellery from my travels around the world. Obviously part and parcel of this dream is to a bit of travelling, something I haven’t done yet. Basically, be a free spirit. Independant and free. These two attributes are probably the two most important to me. But I’m certain they are to every one. Independant, on my own, free, 5 years ago
