I’ve lived here six years and have been contemplating this job since day one. I have the perfect room for a bar; a huge twenty four foot tall, sixty four square foot stone chimney as a backdrop and an indoor hottub that is twenty plus years old that I don’t use any longer since I put in an outdoor one. It’s easier to travel, party and be lazy…this should be a winter job.

We built a bar in our new house, my husband was 40 in March and I wanted a place to throw a big party – we had a stable on the land so we converted it into a party place :)
We celebrated in style with a DJ for 2 nights and a band on the Saturday afternoon (to bring people back to Earth!)
It is not quite finished yet as it needs rendering on the outside still – we have gone with Chinese colours and themes and painted red/white walls with black/red and white accessories – it is great!
how i built my lighted booze bottle shelf
in case anyone is building a bar and wanted to put up some bottle shelves, i wrote a post about how i made my lighted booze bottle shelves.
now i have a beer tap attached to a kegerator that comes through the wall behind the bar.
nothing better than drinking beer out of a tap at your own bar :D
avphibes is getting my household in order
I’m just going to lump this under the “decorate my home” heading. And I never really intended to build the bar…rather to design it and have it built. Since my extra dough is getting funneled off into other things, I don’t even know if that will happen. I might just buy something more modest to keep my booze in.
i built this bar for my basement. it’s not in the basement yet, but will be soon.
full basement bar construction photos here
and yes, that is a blackjack table i built at the end of the bar
i finished it in 4 weeks its beautiful all i need now is some drinks and i am set never leave the house again
Dawn is relaxing after a long day at work!
I built this to go into a friend’s restauraunt that he is building! I know it’s kind of plain, but it is the bigtgest project I’ve ever done, and I am so tickled with how it turned out! I can hardly believe that I did it all by myself! Now I’m just waiting for the place to open, so I can sit there & have a drink! LOL.
