Being a multi-ethnic chick it’s embarrassing to admit I’m only fluent in English. Not sure if it was my arrogance or lack of encouragement as a kid but I never felt the need to speak any language other then English…either way I’m now feeling short changed. After being exposed to people who speak 2,3,4..different languages…I’ve realized this is a very attainable and beneficial goal. Spanish, French, Italian…..
This seems like a sensible goal. The Roman Empire won’t remain forever, and neither will greek. If it does, great. If it doesn’t… good to be prepared. Its an asset any way you look at it. As far as I’m concerned learning is a choice, and as difficult as one makes it.
