be a traveler, not a tourist

at 18 years of age is a hell lot of fun and the feeling of the city getting under your skin as a traveler is as satisfying as hell

I am continuing to uphold this motto. On vacation in the Caribbean, instead of being idiotic tourists, we rented a catamaran and sailed ourselves down to the Grenadines. Having family in Martinique also helps avoid looking like a n00b.

Being a traveler is lots of fun.

This is more like a quote from the Travel Channel. One day I was watching “Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations” and realized this was the slogan. It describes my feelings so perfectly I just HAD to use it! :D

I hate tourists because they are ignorant and annoying. I can’t help it, I just hate them!! So I decided that I will never be a tourist, and instead I will be a traveler. And that’s that!
