Very rewarding experience.

So I met this guy right? He’s got this kind of facsination with firearms, and owns some that look like they really ought to be illegal. He actually has a conceal and carry license and wants to take me to a shooting range sometime soon. Aside from the fact that I really like him, I’m excited about going out and learning more about this. This wasn’t a goal I foresaw myself getting around to anytime soon, but who knows, maybe I’ll like it even more than I thought I would have imagined and get a fire up under me to go ahead and go through with it. And he’s really cute. :)

I found an all day class on the weekend. It’s next month. They’ll help with the fingerprints and paperwork and all that.

I Special ordered this small Ruger in a 38 caliber. It will be my carry gun. It is small enough to holster under a womans more fitted clothing. I had an action job done, and had Ruger add a custom “spurless hammer”. (like shown above) “This gun is perfect for concealment”. It has adequate stopping power, and the spurless hammer allows you to slip it smoothly out of your holster, without hanging on your clothing.

My grandfather and I used to hunt together, so I have used a rifle before. Obviously, it’s not the same as a handgun, but after hunting with him, I started to think.

I don’t want to do this for the reasons most people would think. It’s not about protection or power, it’s just one of those things I feel I just need to do in my life.

When I decided to send in for my permit, I realized I couldn’t find my certificate!! I had boxed up everything when we were getting new carpet. Now, everything’s unboxed, and I’ve never seen it again! I guess it’s a “Do over”!
