see the city

I still need to do this, but now it’s a different city! I must say, I liked Pittsburgh much better, but Denton has it’s pluses too.

So now I have a new city to see, and a license to take me around! I see new areas gradually as I need to go to different sections of town or as I get lost. It’s a different landscape than I’m used to, with everything being so flat, but it’s beautiful in it’s own way.

I’m making progress on this one! This weekend I decided that my time would be better spent in wandering the city than in reading for class, which means I still have to do that tonight. But anyway, Friday after work I went to the Conservatory and Botanical Gardens for some much needed solitude and relaxation time. Saturday I explored the farmers’ market in the Strip District, and today I headed downtown for some Independence weekend festivities. I only have another month/month and a half before I leave, but I’ll see what I can while I have time.
