Cutest and adorable things but koalas make the meanest, vicious sounds imaginable. Australia’s koala populations are rapidly being decimated, their living areas have been devastatingly reduced, cats, feral cats attack any marsupials which have no defenses, and disease from the stressed and limited koala populations.

I’m getting a digital camera for my birthday. This will make taking (and posting) pictures much easier when I finally get the chance to see one.

we have them at a wildlife park nearby where I live, but I’ve also seen one in the wild up in the mountains once. That was cool.

We also have them near canberra in Tidbinbilla nature reserve, only they all got singed in the 2003 bushfires. One koala survived the fire, only with no fur, and by some ridiculous irony they called it ‘Lucky’ the koala.
