How I did it: I just woke up and decided to go. Hell, it's been freaking 17 years. It's about time, don't you think? When it was two weeks before I was leaving, I was so nervous. I didn't know what to expect. I couldn't believe how a five-week vacation could have changed me. I couldn't believe how every person, every moment fell into the right places. I've always been a firm believer that things happened for a reason but this vacation didn't just prove that. It exploded right in front of my face with fireworks with that message..."Things happened for a reason." I am still amazed.

My brother lived in the Philippines for two years, so I had an idea of what to expect. He is fluent in Cebuano and although most of the people spoke English, he would good to have on hand. We both had a month to see the past islands my brother lived on. Then, we ventured our way to amazing islands and discovered what nature truly has to offer.

I know i’m not from there (i’m from Ireland) but it was one of the most beautiful places in the world i’ve ever been. I really hope I get to do this.

I’ve made up my mind to move back to the Philippines (for the third time) to live with my family, see my friends, and got to college. I really hope it happens this time.

My mum and I are going back this December (‘05) and will be there for Christmas and my 18th birthday in January. I can’t wait!
