I need to work out, but with my lifestyle, I think I need to start out with something that I would enjoy doing. Then after I lose some weight maybe I can start adding some weight training to my crazy hectic schedule!

Hit the gym, did mostly upper body. 4 sets of 12 each bench, curls, butterflies, and pull downs. 2 Sets of 12 leg press, 1 set of extensions. Still recovering from a knee injury so I’m taking it easy on the knees. It’s hell being old and fat with bad knees.

My friend Kara and I have planned on being work out buddies to motivate each other. It’s working out pretty well so far. Sometimes I don’t really feel like going but I don’t want to disappoint her or wimp out on my goal since I really do want to get fit. When I get there, it doesn’t turn out being that bad. We are planning on going on Wed for yoga and maybe some sort of cardio, fridays for cardio and weights, and saturday morning we are planning on playing racquetball. Plus, we want to try to go monday also but we’re not sure if it will work into our schedule very well. I’m actually thinking we might try to go to the pilates class on thursday afternoons.

I’m starting to gain a little bit of weight around my waist and it’s really motivating me to go. Plus, I want to be fit before the summer starts. I figure that I can work my butt off now and then once swimsuit season and summer come along, I’ll be able to relax and not feel uncomfortable with myself.
