For the longest time all of my CD’s were taken out of their original cases and kept in a giant folder.
Now i have found most of the CD’s and original cases and re-united them. I still have some more work to do, but the bulk of the work is done. Now i just have to store them somewhere LOL.
I have my CD collection arranged in alphabetic order (via the Artist’s name) in two wooden drawers that I pull out from under my bed.
The point in doing it is to save time & energy for other things. I no longer waste my time looking for a CD; I always know where it is.
Some tips I’d like to share:- I leave some slack space rather than packing it tight
- Compilations go in “C” and Soundtracks go in “S,” within themselves alphabetized
- Definitely drawers or bins, or shelves. I can’t use the traditional slotted CD storage – the slotted ones are too inflexible for an organized CD collection that grows and shrinks
- I always keep the order
- I made it easily accessible (under the bed)
- I made the dividers myself using spent notebook covers and printing the letters on labels
