im doing this to restore my faith in the world again and make me happy

I love playing. I always have. I’ve always had an active imagination, and it progressed as I became an adult. My favorite classes in college were improvisational dance and theater. (And as a kid, I loved dress up.:) And through playful nothingness is how our performance pieces were created. I love the idea of things coming out of emptiness, like when a poem just appears from the blank white space. Like when a person in jest walks up to me and says something in a pirate voice, I’m completely game.

Maybe it’s just that today is a good day (or so I’ve decided), but I really think this is my favourite season. It can sometimes be depressive, yes, but there’s sometimes about fall colours and rain and rain pools and the sound of rain that’s just… dreamy. And you can always be surprised when a sunny (but not too hot; I don’t like hot) day appears.

Movies. I love movies, and so many kinds of them. Musicals,
Foreign, Kung Fu, Comedies, Documentaries. If I like a particular director, I’ll try to see every film they’ve ever made. If you ever watch an Aki Kaurismaki film because you read this entry, I swear, you won’t regret it.

My love of all things subtitled originated with my early recollection of watching a lot of closed caption films, and sometimes I’ll even turn the captions on because I’m so used it.

... is where I would live for the rest of my life if I could choose. I can feel my stomach wrench when I remember how beautiful it actually is.

Oh, and the lovely yellow flowers that are all over!

... because they are probably the smartest, wittiest books I’ve ever read. They mirror our world more tan any other of Pratchett’s works – or is it just that Vimes’s views reflect my own? They are kinda gritty and to the point and very sarcastic. And very, um, looking for a non-soppy word here… HUMANE.

I love this TV show. I LOVE it. I’ve seen it many times. It’s funny and weird and warm without being soppy (well, for the most part :P). I love how they love music and food an coffee and pop culture. I love all the references. I usually don’t watch this type of shows (since there are no spaceships in there an’ such), but GG was something I could identidy with from the start. Weird, weird stuff.

... are the greatest band ever, IMO, and I love them. Have loved them since I was 12. Just like me to start with a band, but there you are.

I don’t listen to them actively now, or at least I don’t think I do – I only play them sometimes, mostly when I’m feeling down (or in PMS – which amounts to the same thing, basically) – and still they are among my most played bands. Somehow.
