I’m thinking either Web Design, Jewelry Making, Wine Tasting, Perfume Design or Painting. But I have NO spare time at the moment so I have a while to decide!

for Non Profit Management. I’m pretty excited about it. However, I won’t know if I’m accepted until June.

I think I might play around with my sister’s acoustic a bit and see if I like it.

photography. 23 months ago

I’ve decided to perfect my photography skills. I already know how to take pictures, but I got a book from the library that teaches people how to take amazing shots of landscape, animals, and people and how to fix them up nice on adobe photoshop.

Ok 23 months ago

So I haven’t really done it, but I do have other goals pertaining to learning new skills like how to draw and how to cook Japanese food etc, so I’m taking this one out.

What to do? 2 years ago

Hmmm, time to brainstorm some ideas…

1. Hangliding:
PROS – Soar like a bird without having to flap anything
CONS – Extreme clumsiness and being in the air don’t really go well together. Also possible tongue-twisting situation, viz. Eddie Izzard: “I hanglide. You hanglide. He/She/It hanglid. We hanglidid. They hanglididith”. Well, you try and conjugate the verb to hanglide!
2. Wood carving:
PROS – I can feel like one of Santa’s elves
CONS – Extreme clumsiness and sharp objects are not happy bedfellows
3. Drawing/Painting:
PROS – The joy of capturing a beautiful image in your own expression
CONS – Not sure I have the patience to get through the basic stuff without getting bored
4. TEFL qualification:
PROS – Can combine travel with work by teaching English in schools and also test out whether teaching would suit me as a career
CONS – Cost and nowhere to learn locally
5. HTML:
PROS – Will be better equipped to set up my own website instead of using pages on other websites and also will be able to learn Flash after mastering the basics
CONS – Lack of patience and general technological incompetence
6. Filmmaking/Scriptwriting:
PROS – Learn the correct way to set out a script and could make short films to put online
CONS – Cost of course and equipment
7. Gardening:
PROS – Could fulfill my dream of having a formal Augustan garden one day complete with classical statues and hedgerow labyrinth (yeah right)
CONS – Forgetfulness easily degenerates into plant homicide

Currently I am leaning towards the TEFL and/or HTML idea. I will brood on this further.
