Time to finally pull her out of storage 17 months ago

I have`a`71 that had a`small electrical fire and I put it away, “temporary” 12 years ago, time to get her on the road, with a need for more space a garage cleaning is in the near future, then its a go.

New Driver Seat! 2 years ago

Yay I just re-padded and appolstered my drivers seat. In the process I learned that i have a cronic rust problem and my passenger seat has to be completely replaced. Rats. Well I’m moving ahead one step at a time.

    Blahhh 2 years ago

Let’s start at the beginning. I bought a 67 vw bus for 5400. I had about 1700 left to get it in running order. I bought new tires, fixed up the breaks, got new seat covers, and mirrors, etc. Then, on the first day i drove it to school, it decided to break. The spring that connects the accelerator cable to the pedle just broke in half. Yeah you pretty much can’t move with out that. So since i didn’t have my cellphone I had to ditch my unlockable bus and walk to school. It broke down really close to school so not too bad. But then i had to spend what little money i had left on fixing that and getting a tow truck. NO NO NO thats not it, my bus (my sister named him Spinny) once fixed ran great….for about a week. The gas gauge, which was supposedly fixed wasn’t so i ran out of gas and consequently my battery died. BlahBlahBlah. So now I have an every growing rust problem that i can’t fix and the best part is i can’t get in through the drivers door because i about ripped it off backing out of my garage..haha the joys of fixing an old vw. (I still love him)
