How to rekindle old friendships by Lorn

"Always call your friends. It's worth it. It makes you happier. Being happier is always a good thing."

How I did it: I called her. She answered. I felt so much better, because before, I felt like I had lost a friend. A good friend, who knew all my secrets and my quirks. And even though I might not see her everyday or talk to her every week, I know that I can call her if something ever happens and that nothing ever ended on a bad note.

    Some of my friendships have ended on unpleasant terms. I’ve really had to put myself out there to do this. A good chunk of the encounters with friends I’ve had so far have left me with this disgusting mixture of sadness, nausea, nostalgia and defeat.

    It’s been heartbreaking and I don’t know if I should continue on with this goal.

    Recently my best friend from 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade found me on facebook, and we ‘reconnected.’ We got together and it was so funny to learn about all that she’s done and see the parallel courses our lives have taken!
