AlmogI have done it.
Several times, actually. Over 50 just over the last year. 11 months ago
I have completed another year of work and I am glad to see the back of it. It has been a very difficult year with doing a different job on one of my days each week. I am very much looking forward to five weeks holiday. 3 years ago
It is great to have finished the year and have 5 weeks holiday. I am certainly glad that I will not be seeing work for a while. 4 years ago
I have got into my old habit of just treating work as a job and a series of task to get through. This has made things a lot more manageable. Consequently, I am getting through the work week a lot better and will mark this goal down as being completed. 4 years ago
I think this goal is basic survival for everyone. Unless you are very lucky to have a good job but I think this is rarer than people make out. There is more to do in life than work. This is why weekends and holidays are so important. Unfortunately, it is a fact that holiday time goes five times quicker than work time. 4 years ago
Thursday was awful. Worked 11 hours. Then there were downpours and my 45 minute commute home became 2 hours. I left home at 4:15 am and didn’t get home until 7pm.
Worked from home on Friday, which was wonderful. No driving. Few interruptions.
But I’m marking this done, since I know I can revive it, and I expect to get through the next work week with better results. 4 years ago
Last week was tough. The week before was tough. I now need this goal to help get through the next four days.
I love my job. I love my job. I love my job.
I just don’t love how everything sometimes breaks loose at once. Today will be another too-long day at my desk.
Handling the masses of stuff that came in over the weekend, putting final touches on various reports. The DH calls and in reaching for my cell I knocked over a full 20 ounce glass of water. Weens came running with towels and I was just laughing. Watching the ink run in the notebooks where I take notes. The report is soaked.
The really funny part was thinking I had it cleaned up and then there’s a dribble on my (now bare) foot—water seeping out of my desk drawer! I answer the phone; a client. The phone is wet. While talking, I pick up my stapler and water comes out of it and runs down my arm.
I’m here late. One of my coworker friends says, “Hey, what are you doing here?” I hold out my hand, “I work here. My name’s Sally.” I’m getting punchy. 4 years ago
Today I had my parents here, and my daughter had no school, so I only had half the day to work. I was pretty efficient at first, and then felt that I earned some rest, and pretty much wasted the rest of the time. What is it with me? Why am I not committed enough to this one thing that I want so much, and that depends so much on the amount of work I do?!
Tomorrow is only half day at school, and my son is coming down with something – at least with eye infection, and maybe more. I may be coming down with something to. Or I might just have over-latkessed. And… I don’t know what. I should grow up. Now. 5 years ago
Example: If I have to sew, I sew. If I have to clean, I do nothing. Solution: avoid cleaning.
Not a good example. Wait. 5 years ago
