see the shins in concert

My girlfriend bought tickets for us to see them at Terminal 5 in NYC this Thursday. We’re taking the train up from Florida, courtesy of my folks, and it’s going to be a blast. I am so stoked to finally be seeing the Shins after all these years.

I saw them in ‘06 at the San Francisco incarnation of the Download festival. They played outdoors as the sun was setting. It was amazing.

the shins concert was the first time i realized that i was alive. when i looked around at all of the faces surrounding me, and felt my hands sweating and my legs shaking, i realized that i was truly alive and breathing.

i saw them october twenty second , we drove 7 hours to see them , and it was the best day of my life to date . in in in incredible .

it was so amazing.
the pink floyd cover was spot on perfect.
every song fit just right.
and they played girl inform me which made my night.
i know they usually do, but it still made the concert that much better.
go see them as soon as you can.

man, they were at the theatre at msg a couple of weeks ago on wednesday night and i wanted to go so freekin badly but i had a huge midterm that night so i couldnt. it was horrible

i saw the Shins at ACL as well as at the backyard when they came to austin. best concerts EVER.

It was such a great day from the drive up to the city, to the tasty dinner, to the show itself. They played all of my favorites. In fact, I don’t think I could name a low point or throwaway song in the mix. The high notes gave me chills.

I can’t wait. I’ve been trying to take in the new album as much as possible over the last couple of weeks. I’ve heard they sometimes aren’t the best live band, but I have high hopes.
