I had wanted to do something crazy with my hair color for a while. Hair has always been a way to express myself be it color (I’ve had all of the “normal” one, and a few less than “normal”), style (mowhawk, long, curly, straight, wavy, etc), or any things else. I used Manic Panic and LOVE it. I’d like to find a more permanent color though.

How I did it: I asked my friends mum (who is a hairdresser) to do it for me so it wouldn't ruin my hair. She bleached it (which was amusing because the first inch or so of my hair went white, and the rest went orange) and then put the purple colour in for me (I used Fudge)The results were really nice. The roots of my hair where it went white from the bleach are all fluro purple, and the rest is this really nice mauve/purple colour that looks awesome in… Read how I did it…

How I did it: Well, I was bored one day. I had wanted to dye my hair a crazy color for a long time, and I went to the store and bought some Splat! purple dye. It was hard to bleach because 1) I have black hair and 2) The package didnt come with much bleach. Read how I did it…
How I did it: When I was 20 I had my hair blue and always wanted to do it purple. I hadn't dyed my hair since before 2005 because I was growing it out to donate it to Lock of Love. When I finally had the length I got it chopped and then highlighted my hair and then dyed the highlights purple. hotness!ps. the picture doesn't do it justice. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I bought Manic Panic "Purple Haze" dye and some bleach and developer and went for it! A friend helped me bleach and actually put it in my hair. It's helpful to have a sink that's okay to get a little messy. Read how I did it…

it’s not really that purple. looks exactly like the colour of an eggplant. in the shade it’s simply dark brown, in the sun it looks more intense. makes me look older, but the colour itself is rather nice.
I probably should’ve gotten it bleached and then applied some intense purple to get a more extreme result.

with shaving my hair. I figured out that now is the best time to do it, because I don’t want to go looking for jobs with a bald head and neither do I want to have my final exams while being bald.
I stumbled upon one of BishopBishops vermons where she shaved her head and thought it was so beautiful and quite a meaningful ritual that I’m convinced I want to do it, even if I shed some tears afterwards.
And of course, if I’m going to shave it off anyway, I can have some fun experimenting beforehand. I think purple might look quite nice.
At first I was a little scared to do it.
I was worried what would people think.
Finally someone decided she would do it for me.
Well it turned out awesome and I got so many good things about my
purple hair. If you are wanting to do it, do it, you wont regret it
It was great! I wasn’t really expecting it to be as purple as it is because it’s a Boots Dark Mahogany and I thought it’d just go darker and redder – but it went sort of purpley reddy brown, because my hair naturally had a lot of different tones it also toned itself
It’s more ‘burnt plum’ than purple, but it’s really good. I love it. The texture is great.
So what I did was, I went to boots in search of a colour that was sorta blackish, brownish, reddish purplish. And when I couldn’t find one that looked the right colour but wasn’t cheap and tacky, I eventually went for the Boots Botanics collection because it looked the most natural. My hair is a sort of medium brown with natural blonde bits, and natural darker bits, and on the back of the packet it says that medium browns will go darker than blondes – obviously. So I went home and did a sensitivity test and a strand test – the strand test I couldn’t really see the colour in that much, and the sensitivity test it says to wait for 48 hours but I couldn’t so when I didn’t get an allergic reaction, I died my hair two hours later.
It was my first time so I was a bit apprehensive when the hair dye went dark purple – I thought it was going the wrong colour. But it said ‘the colour of the dye bears no resemblance to the colour your hair will go’ and then it was alright.
I got my mum to section my hair and then smother it equally because apparently it’s hard otherwise, and still some parts of my hair are alot purpler than others. But overall, i LOVE it!!
wooah. :)

I want to dye my hair purple like it was 2 years ago.
It was a really interesting color.
Without the sun, it would be a dark purple…almost like dark violet color, but once the sun hit my hair it would be electric!
I bought some hair dye, where the box looked purple, but it turned out this fushia/red-ish color!! O_O
