I have 31/500 18×31 print called “hawaiian blues” and an original called “Pushing Up Posies”. Didn’t really think of the value of these until recently, they have just been hanging on my walls. ILL post some pics tonight

Blue Dog 19 months ago

I stumbled on this cool site as I was searching the web for a Blue Dog print I could afford. I love Blue Dog and I love NOLA, so I’d really like either one of the early BD’s or perhaps a relief print from after Katrina. I love that I am not alone in my goal to collect one of these! Now I am inspired to add to my “43 Things” list of goals.

Just so expensive 3 years ago

I would give an arm for an original, but that’s way out of reach. I am trying to decide if I can afford $2000 and up for a silkscreen.

Still Blue Dogless 4 years ago

I thought I might buy a Blue Dog on my trip to the Blue Dog Cafe in Lafayette, but they’re just too expensive. I’ll keep dreaming, though.

The picture is my favorite. :)

Love That Blue Dog 4 years ago

I’ve wanted a Blue Dog to hang on my wall since I visited New Orleans in the late 80’s. I was a poor college student at the time, so I couldn’t afford one.

Go to Rodrigue Gallery 4 years ago

I bought a litho of his 1996 Jazz Fest print. Paid more then I wanted to, but it is a wonderful thing. I would suggest, if you have not already done so, drive over New Orleans and visit Rodrigue gallery. You’ll be forced to buy something :).

BTW: I was at a local flea market a few days ago looking for used books. Ended up getting a “Blue Dog Journal” for .50 cents. Pefect condition never been used. Got lucky. It lists for like $20 on Amazon.
