open my own boutique

need any advice on pursuing a career as a boutique owner and establishing a clothing line. What college courses are needed for this field? what direction do i need to take to make this happen.

I work at a boutique right now and I have dreams of opening my own one day, just as a side project of the career I will have. What can I say, I like to be busy!!

I have no plan for getting this one off the ground, but I would like to do it at some point. Not necessarily forever, but I think it could be fun for a while.

this wouldn’t be anytime soon. eventually, after I’ve gotten my name out there, I want to open my own boutique. This is something that would be difficult for me because I am always doubting my potential.

I attended college for 3 years before I realize that a career in Criminal Justice was not my passion. So here I am, on my way to follow a dream that some may think is way far-fetched. I applied to FIT and hopefully I’ll be starting in the Spring of 2006. I have dreams of owning a chic, trendy yet swanky boutique in Dumbo, Brooklyn—then who know? maybe a chain of boutiques?
