That’s the farthest into the week I’ve completed on a regular basis. The clues change in their obscurity so drastically each day! I get into the mode of one day before I have to change my thought process for the next….I’ll get there eventually!

A couple came over me at Starbucks when I was doing the Saturday NYT puzzle, and asked for help with the puzzle in the Oregonian. I glanced at their grid and fired backed “amanuensis”. Then they grilled me for five minutes about how I knew what that was.
In 30 years of doing the NYT puzzle I’ve completed maybe,,,,oh,,,,ten or so. Still, it’s a very satisfying feeling. And I LOVE Will Shortz.
