How I did it: I was working in a job that made me unhappy. This made me realize that I wanted more out of my life. I wanted to turn a hobby into a career, but I didn't have a hobby, so I sat and thought about the things that I enjoyed or what would interest me to learn more about. I chose photography, which was something I was always drawn to, but I never really did (other than point & shoot).
I signed up for classes, bought a camera and hopefully one day I'll be able to say that I did turn my hobby into a career. Read how I did it… 5 years ago
The search for a hobby doesn’t interest me anymore. A hobby can not be forced and I will discover one when I discover it, and should allow it to jump up on me instead of looking for it.
I have very little spare time anymore and the time that isn’t spent looking after my daughter will either be spent with A2, planning my wedding or doing things around the house. 5 months ago
How I did it: My aunt introduced me to geocaching and I was hooked instantly. I downloaded the app on my phone, rounded up some friends, and got started. Read how I did it… 7 months ago
I have decided that for now my new hobby will be learning German. It’s been on my 43things list for ages and I finally decided to take action on it today.
An hour a day will be my aim, however I am we’ll aware that circumstances might prevent that some days.
I will begin using Rosetta Stone and progress on to other methods such as conversing in german verbally and written (when I am good enough to hold a conversation), I may download a book in German to help my language skills whilst keeping up with reading (my other newly proclaimed hobby). 18 months ago
