I want to know that I have not only the proper understanding of what logic is and how to wield it’s power, but also to be able to quickly and accurately determine the weaknesses in or absence of logic in others and their arguments or propositions.

I’ve finished the first chapter (”’IF’ and ‘NOT’”) of Kalish, Montague, and Mar’s Logic: Techniques of Formal Reasoning. Now working on ”’AND’, ‘OR’ and ‘IF AND ONLY IF’.” I was a philosophy major back in college and I really should have learned this stuff, but didn’t think it was worth the bother at the time. I was wrong. Try making sense of Heidegger without even the slightest grasp of the basics. Back to square one, six years later.
