Be an informed consumer and read up on EST, Werner Erhard before considering the Landmark Forum. Landmark Education was investigated by the French Department of Labor, which ruled their volunteer unpaid laborers in the “assisting program” must be classified as employees. Within a short time later, Landmark Education pulled all their operations out of France. Some of this is discussed in the French documentary, “Voyage to the Land of the New Gurus.”

The “technology” of Landmark Forum was initially developed by Werner Erhard for his company EST / Erhard Seminars Training and later for Werner Erhard and Associates / The Forum. But Werner Erhard sold the “technology” to his employees shortly after a March 3, 1991 investigative piece by 60 Minutes which alleged he was physically and sexually abusive to family members.

Currently, Landmark Education is run by Werner Erhard’s friends and family. His brother Harry Rosenberg is the CEO, his at one time attorney Art Schreiber is General Counsel and Chairman of the Board of Directors, his sister Joan Rosenberg is on the Board of Directors, as is his longtime associate K. Laurel Scheaf.

Also a great book for background info is OUTRAGEOUS BETRAYAL, by Steven Pressman. I highly encourage anyone considering putting down money for this controversial course to read as much as you can, as well as seeking out as much audio/visual material as possible on the internet. There is certainly an abundance of freely available information on the history and background of this for-profit, privately owned company on the internet. Werner ErhardWerner Erhard

    No regrets 2 years ago

Spent three full days and an evening, not to mention around $ 400 (19000 pesos in Philippine currency) to take this course. I went in there and definitely wanting to get something good out of it. And I did! I see life differently. Things that I previouly thought were impossible are now things that I routinely do. That’s what most people get out of it – a life where things work, a life filled with possibilities.
