learn how to read music

I want to learn to play guitar and piano. I’m thinking learning to read music is a necessary step.

Ok, I can play guitar and pianno. But I need to learn how to read sheet music (You know, the music with the notes and the lines) so my dad will buy me an electric guitar and that me and my friend can recrute people for a band that we are trying to create :)

but I can’t read music. I know a few basics – but I can’t sit down with sheet music and just play it.

I took a piano class and learned some of the basics and it’s so worth it.

I have tried to learn how to read music before and it is all so frustrating for me. See it is hard to read something that I feel so much of. I am a person of feeling, emotion; not so much about analytical figuring things out the “smart” way. When it comes to symbols and numbers I am really dislexic. But because I want it, it will happen some day. I want to be able to creat better music, and understand the make up of what I will create.
