How to go to San Diego by Samantha

"I want to move there!"

How I did it: I found two girlfriends that wanted to go there as well. We decided to do a girls weekend only and picked a date. At first I didn't think that we would do it..but it all worked out!

What would we do without the internet?  We asked around first and people kept telling us to stay in the Gaslamp District. We checked out hotels there and ended up staying at the Britsol. A very cute and modern looking hotel! 
    

Lessons & tips: We could have spent a month there and still wouldn't have seen everything! 

Definitely drive to Cornado Island (or take the Ferry). It is such a beautiful place! Everyone rides their bikes everywhere and the beach is beautiful!

We stayed mostly in the Gaslamp District at night. Next time we go I would love to venture out and be more of  a tourist. This was just a relaxing get away which we all needed.

Ask around. I realized a lot of people have been there! (Plus I am in Arizona..it is only a 6 hr drive.)

We were give tips on where to go, stay, eat, etc. Having a car there helped too. We just hopped in and drove around. I was wonderful!

    This coming weekend I will be going to San Diego! I am very excited. The two girls that I am going with have never been either. We got a hotel room at The Bristol in the Gas Lamp District. I hear that is the place to be! I am very excited to check this one off my list!

    I called the family I know (and adore) that live in san diego today.
    They said to go ahead and buy a plane ticket, so I’m GOING TO CALIFORNIA THIS SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I know some amazing people that live down there. Last summer I went to go see them and it was really nice (and warm!). We went to the Sea World and the zoo, went to the beach, swam in a pool, and just had a really nice time. I want to go again this summer.
    Now all I need to do is find a some-what affordable plane ticket…. Or figure out if it’d just be cheaper to drive…. (okay, probably not)
    Now I have california by metro station stuck in my head!!!

    It’s literally my favorite place in the world. I went there every summer for about 4 years. Now my mom no longer lives there, so I haven’t been since I was 11 or 12 (I’m 16 now). I really hope to go back and take my boyfriend summer of ‘09. It’s gonna be great _

    I went to San Diego over the Christmas holidays and I loved it!
    The weather was perfect of course. We drove in from Phoenix and once we got into San Diego the drive was gorgeous. We went to the San Diego Zoo but I would suggest planning on spending more than just one day at the zoo because there is way too much to see in just a day. We went to a car museum and it was smaller than I thought it would be but still pretty cool. We went and had lunch at this spot on the beach- I think it was Mission Bay Beach – the food was good and the view was spectacular. I ordered some hot wings and a blue moon -it’s a wheat based beer, if that means anything to you :) I plan on going back as soon as possible.
