I am doing a 24 hour liquid fast. So I can have water and juice. But no soda, milk or solid food. I never fasted before. So I thought it was best to start small.

How I did it: sleep. alot of sleep. but i binged so it didnt help much. dont binge afterwards. why does it keep telling me to write more? i think you guys know how to do it.

I am preparing myself to do a fast. Don’t know how long it will be for – doesn’t matter – just so long as I “clean myself out” and feel more energy. Apparently I will know when the time is up. For now I am just drinking more water and eating a bit of fruit when I feel I should. Have also had a couple of protein shakes over the past 2 days. I’m watching out for headaches – have to drink more. I’ve walked the dog each morning and have slept OK. I’m just lessening what I eat until I actually go without – if I do and will see what happens – start this preparation on Monday 18th May 09.
I ate bad today, I’m going to fast tomorrow (crystal light and max of two vitamin waters).
I weigh 155 right now, I am going to get down to 105. I’m sick of being “healthy”. I’m 5’7”.
My goal is to fast for 5 days. I’ve been told it is an ancient form of healing and cleansing and I want to try it as a personal challenge to myself. I am somewhat of a recovering food addict who has always had a very difficult relationship with eating, and I’m hoping maybe a total fast can break me of some of my worst addictions (namely sugar). I plan on taking on this challenge the last five days of this year to start next year off right. Any advice?

Doing a fast typically helps me refocus on God. However, the last time, I ate 6 ice cream sandwiches that broke my fast. Not good.
This is part of my being of great health goal. It would be great if I do this in 2008, but 2009 would be ok too.
