lynner life is short...do another backbend!
this task honestly took about five minutes to complete. i went to the website, picked a specific issue concerning my cause (hurricane katrina relief, forest fires, etc) then i payed for it with a credit card and was done. short, simple, very feel-good. plus, its tax-deductible which is A-OK by me! kudos, oprah.
me-ow. is all fired up
It’s not a life goal or anything, it’s not for self-improvment. It’s just something I’ve meant to do for a while, and I’m keeping it here to remind myself about it.
Hopefully this fall, I will be planting several trees in our yard. And some wildflowers and such in the spring maybe…create a mini woodland or prarie area. Someone from the nature center is going to look at the yard and help me figure out what to do!
Like sarah, I’ve actually planted a tree already too, two years ago at a community service trip to Kentucky. But, I say, you can never plant too many trees, so hopefully I will do so again some day!
Sarah Schefers wants to know where Peace corps is sending her!
I actually planted two mangrove trees as part of a conservation effort by Bakan school. We planted 60 trees in honor of the king. The kids had fun, and I learned that I really really hate mud!
