I want to make a “coffee table” type book of my photography…which means i have to start taking my photography a bit more seriously…if people are going to be looking at it, it better be good!
People doing this are also doing these things:
Entries
violentwife is going to be alright.
and write short stories about each of them. I think that would be cool.
I have been investigating web services and found a great content management tool that enables the creating of a book from blog pages. Of course the blog entries can be photos with or without narrative. I haven’t fully explored this and would like to see if others are interested in creating a compiled photoblog that turns into one or more books of work.
A bit about my photography – I cover a lot of music and nightlife events around Detroit. I also am connected with the fashion community here.
When it comes to technology the best description of what I do is “Systems Integrator”. I bring the technology needed to solve the problem and make it as seamless and friendly as possible.
I need to get the rest of my photos printed out for my portfolio, Than I can go to a local company present it and pay a slight fee and finally get a book.
Have a strong idea for this…but when i see it in my mind, its more of an exhibition. But hey, both are possible. Do the exhibition, then put the layout together and print it. Going to Cali today to get my camera so then I can start the few trial shoots after the New Year. This one just takes time. The best thing to do to stay active in it would be to plot out uber specifically what images I want to create…
I just finished a semester-long artists book project … twelve photographs … accordion pages in a hard cover … a helluva lot of work and even more love … best project I’ve done yet!
It wasnt the best book ever, but it is my beginning work and I am very proud of it.
