For two weeks now I have written down every single thing that I eat. I love that I am accountable to myself. And doing it on Prevention.com has been a great help to me because it showsme what I am actually doing to myself when I make the choices that I typically make. Even with exercise, I see that I still need to make some major changes in my diet to reach my goal by March of next year.

I am entering everything I eat into my profile at prevention.com. I am suprised at how calories add up and curious to see the reality of my food choices and perhaps pick up on patterns and correlations between what I eat, how I feel, and my weight, as it tracks and graphs all these things.
I also had to have a “heart to heart” conversation with myself and with God about the abuse and neglect I have put my body through in the past by eating poorly. I am serious about staying committed to writing down what I eat daily and eating how I know is best. I don’t believe in dieting, but I do believe in the power of learning about nutrition and applying mindfulness to ones eating habits.

I think that it is important to be aware of your actions. I don’t want to eat too much or eat too little. I just want to be balanced. I think that a good way to track what you eat is by writing down what you plan to eat.

11am: Two cups of coffee with about 8tsp cream and two sweetnlows, one sausage-egg-potato-cheese breakfast burrito with salsa. Almost one whole wheat pancake with banana slices and pecans and maple syrup. I also had a bite of a California omlette and a few bites of hashbrowns with catsup and a bite of a buiscut.
3pm: a blue garoraide
7pm: a bowl of thai coconut curry with rice, a swig of diet Dr. Pepper.

I did this in my diary for yesterdy. It wasn’t pretty in terms of carbs, but it was okay.
Today I started with a few ounces of the Sprite I had left. I had a Thundercloud large veggie sub with cream cheese, avacado, olives, sprouts, tomato, cucmber and mushroom. I also had nacho-cheese flavored doritos and a blue gatoraide. Then I had a bag of whoppers and a large coffee with soy, cream, and honey. This meal was definately my cheat for the week.
At the rehearsal, I had one half of a berry strudel and one and a half bagels with light almond-honey cream cheese. I drank about a 1/2 cup of black coffee.
After biking home, I ate a plum and about 6 veggie “meat”balls with a high-sodium sauce. I think I’m going to drink another Sprite. I’m craving one.
