We bought a Canon PowerShot S1 IS on eBay. I love it. It zooms like crazy, takes great pictures, and makes me happy. I will still use the PowerShot A75, but I wanted this fancy-schmancy zoomer for vacations.

I have a Canon Powershot 75. I love my camera. It takes great pictures and has great battery life. But I want more. I want a camera that takes better macro shots and has a longer optical zoom. Right now I am aiming for a different Canon that has a 10x optical zoom. Maybe I should just learn how to use the one I have.
Do I really need it?

I already have a decent digital camera, but I want a better one with more manual features so that I can be more creative when taking pictures.

I’ve been checking out this digital camera, and it appeals to me more than the Olympus or Canon models. Long term, I still want a Nikon D70 SLR, but I think I would use a high-end point-and-shoot camera like the Panasonic more often. Fewer lenses = less hassle.
I signed up for a Flickr account, and I plan to put it to good use, whether I get the new camera sooner or later.
