I have a cottage in Finland which I visit for my ski and summer vaxations. My brother has a cottage just next to me and we have started to buikd a sauna outside. Last summer we built the basis with concrete and this summer we will built the actual sauna. Still need to do some paper work and order the logs.
People doing this are also doing these things:

I love the sauna.
I love any kind of steambath
I love the hot tub
I love the turkish Hammam.
but I am not crazy about Jacuzzi’s
I think it has to do with all the commotion in a jacuzzi,.
Once I heard about a dog who also loved the sauna.
after wet walks he immediately ran down to the basement
sauna and waited outside until someone would let him in!!
I will train my future french bulldog to do the same.
me and my bulldog happy together in the sauna. picture that!
I had nothing else to do last summer so I spent one month building one sauna on wheels.

It is not that difficult.
This is from Maxim magazine which slaps together a sauna that works and is acutally good. The cost how ever is up there.
A small earthbag underground sort of thing with a big fat woodburning stove for heat.
Itll be sort of a modern hybrid of the Finnish Sauna and the Navajo Sweatlodge.
I want to build it from recycled materials using super-insulated Candian dual wall methods.
1> I have a used sauna heater
2> I have an electrian who owes me dana.
I still need:
1> An old out 10’ x 15’ out building that need moved.
2> 350 sq. ft.of old cedar decking.
