My old roommate is going to bred hers maybe later this year. Since she couldn’t pay much rent, I’m getting one for free!!

But, I can’t do this for a while as we don’t live in a place that allows dogs and we don’t know where we’ll end up once we finish our masters. So I wait and fawn over my friend’s corgis every chance I get.

This weekend I took a quick trip to my new home city to find an apartment to live in during seminary in the fall. When I called around last week I was hearing from everyone that there were no dogs allowed in the apartments, meaning I thought that my dream of a corgi was going to be put on hold for a couple of years. However, when I actually saw places and asked about dogs, I got a ton of yeses, and this morning I rented a beautiful first floor apartment with all hard wood floors and a huge back yard that is pet friendly. Because of my time of volunteer service, they even waved the pet-fee of $200. So I’ll be seriously looking for a puppy when I move in the fall.

I fell in love with these dogs, and now would really like to get one. I have a move coming up in my life and would like a companion to go along with me. Who wouldn’t want to snuggle a face like this one?

a friend of ours has a young corgi, who was romping around our apartment the other night. he’s a smart, friendly dog who followed me wherever i went, and i can’t wait to have one of my own. <3

a friend of ours got a corgi a few months ago, and we just met this little bundle of happiness and energy recently.
while i was squealing all over and playing with mr. little-doggie-no-legs, dave decided that i was right (again!) and that a corgi would be an excellent addition to our family. all we need is a house and yard now. :)
My wife and I own a Cardigan Welsh Corgi. His name is Justin. Cardigans are not as common as Pembrokes and don’t have the “family dog” mentality bred into them as well. We consider Justin a rescue, even though we got him from a breeder. The breeder said they didn’t socialize him very well, and boy is it apparent in his behavior. He is very very suspicious or downright hostile to people. He’s a joy, very smart, very loving to the two of us, but we have to board him when we have people over to visit. It’s worth it—but it would be nice if he was more friendly.
