About 9 years ago, i picked up my first board and fell in love with the thing. I was sooooo obsessed with skating, it’s all me and my friends would ever do. It was def. more than a casual hobby, was a passion to say the least. But somewhere in the latter High School years the combo of chicks, potent buds, & booze knocked me off track and i pretty much gave up skating all together. Now i’m “old” (21) and am realizing that i should have kept with it. Funny how I didn’t think of this until years after i’d completely quit skating. I just kind of forgot about it (?) But once it warms up & the snow melts, i swear i’m gettin’ back out there.
How to start skateboarding again
How I did it: Eventually rounded up enough extra dough to finally get a new board for the first time in years. Although the only tricks in my bag right now are the Ollie and the Flamingo it's still so much fun to just soul skate around town again. . .It's good to have flavorful hobbies
Lessons & tips: Don't be discouraged by time away. . It'll come back to you. . Or, the feeling will at least

Every time I tried to start skating again I couldn’t do it. Then me and my friend decided to start skating. Now I can’t stop. You just have to have someone to skate with, then you will see why you started in the first place.
I had a major collision with my friend Gage 12 weeks ago, of corse all he needed was 4 stitches, and i broke 3 ribs and bruised a lung, he was back at the park the next day and my “female parent” forbids me from touching my board, usually i don’t listen to her that much, considering shes an ex-junkie (or so she claims), but she like totally hid my board and i cannot find it anywhere, i think she burnt it, it really wouldn’t surprise me she’s insane.
I started skateboarding again and for the first week, my leg was really sore from just one day of going around places. After that, it was smooth sailing.
