Buy a better house

It’s small but beautiful. Better is not always a lot bigger. We’ve been here 3 months and I decided I like it a lot. Even with the yard work (not much but more than our condo), the birds make the yard worthwhile.

When I bought the townhouse we now live in, it was just me and it was too big! I needed another one of everything I owned!! (Another bed, another sofa, etc.) And there were more bathrooms than I could keep clean! When DH moved in, it started to get a little too small—he didn’t bring most of his furniture. Now with our baby and her crib, pack & play & 3 zillion toys, it’s getting to be too small. I want a “house-house”, with a yard and the neighbors more than a few feet away…

We have a contract on a new house and a contract to sell our condo to a cash buyer. If all goes well at the closings in just two weeks, we’ll have accomplished this goal. Not completely sure I want a yard again, but looking forward to the front porch!
