organize my mp3s

so i stayed up till 2 am… relabeling… as well as putting em in A-Z folders… i think i have OCD… lol…

next step is to keep em organized till like forever…

hehe…

my mp3s are driving me crazy…
am gonna rename em ALL with small caps…
“artist – song title”
as well as getting em all in their own respective folders as well!
to make more room for more mp3s!

It’s mostly organized, but I want to re-label alot of the folders. Mostly what I want to do is go through and make playlists. I’ve got all the way from A to E! but it’s not much fun so I keep putting it off.

four hours later… mmmmmmmm everything looks the same.

Yesterday I went through and cleaned out all the duplicate songs in iTunes. While I still need to go back and find the songs that got eradicated when I transfered things back and forth, my iTunes is back to being functional and full of good music, which is all I really wanted. I still have missing songs, some of which are stuck on my iPod, but I have most of my music.

I got started on this one today by going through and re-starring my favorites. Next I want to gather up the ones I’ve listened to the most, and then I will delete the songs that no longer work. I also have a few songs that just didn’t make the transfer over, so I need to go through and either buy them again, or look around the house and see if I still have the CD somewhere…

It’s so nice to have all of my music tucked away in its neat, tidy little folders! I’ve organized all of my 2500+ songs into albums, artists, and genres. I’d already had half of my music library haphazardly put into folders, so I didn’t have that difficult a job, but it still took about three hours to do. iTunes is still converting stuff and reading where all of my music is now, but it oughta be done in a reasonable amount of time. I’m glad that’s done!

I’ve been downloading music from iTunes directly into my music folder, so hours and hours worth of music is just floating randomly around. I’d also like to organize my music into folders according to genre. Unfortunately, I’ll have to delete all of my music from iTunes and start completely over because there will be so many files in different places.

So here we go… I’ve got a free evening with nothing going on for the rest of today or tomorrow, Pandora to listen to (iTunes is gonna flip out when I start messing with my files), and I’m mentally prepared to wait while iTunes reloads all of my music back into it’s system.

I hate a disorganized playlist! It’s always so dificult to find things!
