spend quality time with my sister

She’s moved to the Gold Coast! How gross. So I won’t get to see her as much as if she’d moved to Brisbane somewhere, but we text each other all the time and she freely tells me stuff these days that she wouldn’t have used to. I think she knows now that she can count on me if she needs to, or even if she doesn’t. It’s good.

She’s up here at my place hanging out all long weekend! I feel this is a good opportunity for quality time. Heck, I even made dinner tonight. I haven’t made dinner in MONTHS, and I am not even lying! We’re going to settle in for some VMars eps tonight after spending most of the day setting up her new iPod. And we’ve still got two days left of KWAL-IT-EE.

On Saturday night, I’m hitting Dreamworld (local amusement park) with the sister and four friends. It’s possible that she’ll head off with her own friends, but it’s also possible that she’s hanging out at my place on Saturday or Sunday to watch some VMars episodes. That totally counts as quality time. I might even make nachos.

Katie’s sixteen (17 in November) and she’s turning out pretty cool. I don’t know… I gave my little siblings a bit more crap than I think I should have when I was younger. I did it to my mum, too! It might have been because I’m the eldest or it might have been because I was just a little jerk :)) who knows.

Katie’s been up to stay overnight at my place a couple of times in the last year and I really want to get to know her better than I already do.
