Retire at 50

want to stop working and doing what i want to….by 50…play more golf..travel…

£150 a month to my pension in the UK
$15K in my US 401K
Paying off my mortgage in 17 years (when I’m 50). I mean, this means that I won’t be able to ever live anywhere but this small, 1bdrom place, which is slightly unrealistic. However, it’s a start.

I won’t know whether I will accomplish this or not for like 24 more years.

I learned French as a prerequisite in high school; i speak Spanish and etwas Deutsch und etwas Nederlander auch; ich will Franzoisich learnen jetz

Which equals smaller mortgage. That means I can overpay so it’s paid off by the time I’m 45. Then, I can afford to do something more “fun” for a living when I don’t have that big bill to pay.

... and I can Be Myself

So on my way to this. I just really hope I can make it a reality.

I’ll be eligible in 2 1/2 years. I think/hope we can afford it.
