Going to start doing this once the snow starts to fly. I think I’m going to tackle Modo first.
How to learn 3d
How I did it: By searching the internet for weeks i found all these helpful sites.
http://www.gameinstitute.com/ for courses
on game design it will cost you though.
http://www.cgtextures.com/ for thousands of free textures.
http://cgsociety.org/
http://forums.cgsociety.org/
http://www.3dbuzz.com/
http://www.thegnomonworkshop.com/
http://www.highend3d.com/
http://www.3dtotal.com/
http://www.cgtextures.com/
http://www.gamasutra.com/
This is
CGSociety/CGTalk. An EXCELLENT resource for all things related to
digital art. Tons of art galleries by professionals and very talented
amateurs alike, and many tutorials and tips can be found in the forums.
http://www.gametab.com/
Okay, this IS mostly fanboy news and
rumor. GameTab lists the top stories on all the other major gaming news
sites on the web at any given time. It's important to keep an ear to
the industry and its fanbase, even if they have a tendency to
overreact, exaggerate, and post a whole lot of biased crap. Anyway, I
still find meaningful updates on a daily basis on here.
Programs i use 3Ds max,maya,zbrush,mudbox and photoshop
Hope this all helps. Good luck to you all.
