A frighteningly low percentage of Americans have estate plans and written directives. Given the Schiavo ferver, I would rather not have Congress or GWB himself decide whether or not I’m on life support. Also, minimizing the amount of $$ going to the gov’t is key. I took step one today and talked to one of our estate planners, who agreed to complete mine by the end of the year.
