celebrate your ‘half’ birthday,

We made it into an event; Dad takes half-birthday-girl out for a meal to the restaurant of her choice. Mom and other sister stay home! Even now, my dad still makes sure to call me on my half-birthday.

Faaack! I missed it! =(
I was so busy with school and stuff I missed my own half birthday. :( June 12 BTW. Ah well, there’s always next year.

My husband and I celebrate our half birthdays because both of our annual birthdays fall around Christmas. And since Christmas is usually costly, we decided to celebrate our annual birthdays lightly, then splurge on our half birthdays.

It’s really just an excuse to treat ourselves…but we love it.

This co-incides with my sister’s birthday, so I ‘celebrate’ it every year.

i only realised it was my half birthday by accident, and then made my friend make me a card in a lecture, and got 8 different people to buy me drinks that night :) good fun

although no one ever seems to want to celebrate with me—except when I was 5 1/2, and my great-aunt made me a half-a-birthday cake when we visited her in Kansas on that day!!!
