How I did it: Cost Once I had worked out my budget I was able to compare the various specifications of the various laptops on the market. Luckily I had a student discount. Comparison The ram, processor and hard drive capacity were compared. The packaged software also made a difference. Uses Most laptops seemed to do most things - just some faster than others. Apple I had used a Mac in the early 90's and when I saw the beauty of the latest macbook, I decided now was a great time to fall in love again.
Lessons & tips: Buying a mac is a heart/ head decision. It's practical, reliable and stunning to use. Resources: People that shared their mac experiences encouraged me to take the leap and get a mac. The sales consultant showed me how wickedly easy using the mac is. |

I’m looking forward to getting one because I really want one for school so I can plug it in and do things away from all the other people.
I was looking at a HP. The price varies from 600 – the thousand range for what I want.
I might get it as a gift lol… so I might wait a little longer.

There is something special about an apple … is it heart over head??
It’s a bit more expensive than a similar windows based laptop & I’m familiar with windows, but I really don’t like microsoft – I get sick of the unreliability & lack of speed … maybe this is my chance to fall in love with an apple (although it will probably only be an entry level one).

My first laptop is Apple IBook G4…
It helped me a lot on my staying in a foreign country…
And it was also my first introduction to Apple…and I fell in love ever since…
But now it’s broken…And I want to have a MacBook Pro…

I’d love to have my own laptop because I could take it around with me and it’d be my own personal portable computer, instead of the family one we’ve got at the moment. Although I’ll still need that for printing.

ago I made the purchase and I haven’t looked back. The desktop sits alone upstairs and is hardly ever used anymore. I do not regret waiting this long as they were just too expensive for so long but they are a reasonable price now. Even bought one for my hubby for father’s day. GO for it !!
