I want to own a puppy :( I’m working so cant take care of the puppy. Leaving it alone would be a biggg problem! I just wish i could own one :(
Probably when i’m staying with parents or not working(which is not happening in the near future) i would own one. or will i?! :(
How to own a puppy
How I did it: The BF and I picked out the cutest beagle in the world. She's also naughty and loud, but we love her to pieces... <3
Lessons & tips:
- ADOPT if possible <3
- don't forget TLC!
- exercise is important and they appreciate when you walk them
- please don't ever mistreat an animal. Remember that you are the parent and they rely on you for a good, healthy, safe life.
- take the time to research on how to take care of particular breeds and what to/what not to do
- beware of socks and strings because they can tie up in the stomach (which can kill them or create an expensive surgery bill)
- GREENIES are hazardous! They get stuck in the stomach and could also kill :(
- too much corn in the diet may be the reason behind a hyperactive dog
Resources: Books, internet, trainers, anyone with dog experience (I ask questions like no other)

... and had puppy’s buyer’s remorse for the first week. it was sort of the week from hell with fozzie crying every night and peeping and pooping everywhere. i had no idea how much work it would be (and $!). he’s now at almost 12 weeks old and is starting to show us his personality. its pretty cool watching him develop. i’m beginning to warm up nicely to him and am happy i got him. its pretty nice to have someone happy to see you when you come home from work. he is the best dog ever.
I got my first puppy a week ago. I wasnt prepared to fall in love like I did. She’s my baby!
When i got my dog it was the best thing i have ever done in my life.It was my first dog and i didn’t realise how close you get to them. Her name was daisy she’s a border collie and i got her a 6 weeks old.She was really obedient and just the best dog ever. She was so friendly.I had to give her away and i miss her sooo much.
I loved her loads.
and this month’s Critter has the most adorable pup on the cover. however I feel like I’m too busy to take care of a young animal, train it as necessary right now so this goal is for the future. My cat, Samson, is enough to take care of as it is but he doesn’t have a cute puppy face and wet puppy nose!
I’ve had a lot more advice from people who know about dogs… it seems I may have a few more choices as far as breeds suitable for allergy sufferers go.
Apparently a dog’s behaviour is far more due to training than breeding. So some of the breeds concidered allergy friendly but that seemed too highly strung or skittish for the hectic life it would lead in London could be back on the list again.
However, Golden or Labradoodles are still amazingly gorgeous. Want want want. Spanish water dogs are my next breed to investigate along with schnauzers…
We’re also planning a visit to ‘discover dogs’ this autumn to find out more about all things puppy related :)
