I've been doing this 1 week ago

almost 100% of the time using www.thedailyplate.com. I used to be a fan of fitday, but the daily plate is a lot easier and faster to use. I definitely would never take the time to write down food, much less look up calories and fat etc., but it’s all right there on the daily plate. I’ve also been using it to keep track of my exercise and weight. I love the graphs and the fact that you can see your BMI with one click. And as for exercise, it really highlights the fact that you can’t exercise for 30 minutes and then get a venti mocha and think that it’s going to help you any.

I think keeping a food journal is pretty central to weight loss for me.

After having had some reallyyy unhealthy food… I kinda gave up on this goal at midnight ;) Gonna re-start today.

Falling down is not THE problem. Failing to get up after the fall is the problem!

The Aim 1 month ago

To build the momentum, am going to keep this very simple to start with. Meaning – all am gonna do is keep jotting down what I eat in a notepad for the next 28 days. (Yep! Am obsessed with 28! Wink)



not a healthy eater... 3 months ago

I don’t have a healthy diet. Hopefully, if I keep track of what I am eating and see it, I will be encouraged to eat better.



Day Five - 28/6/09 4 months ago

Breakfast:
Slice of cake
Orange juice

Lunch:
Guacamole toastie with extra nuts

Dinner:
Homemade carrot & coriander soup
Two slices of bread

Dessert:
The last slice of cake!
A plum

Other:
Half a can of lemonade

[COMMENTS]
Meh, didn’t eat a lot today, and nae green veg either.



Day Four - 27/6/09 4 months ago

Breakfast:
Two slices of toast with baked beans and mushrooms
Orange juice
Yet another slice of cake

Lunch:
Yet more cake!
Bottle of coke
Pint of cider
Half a shandy

Dinner:
Shepherd’s pie with TVP ‘mince’, onion, leek, carrot, mushroom and courgette. Yum!

Dessert:
Eh, another bit of cake. Just a small bit though!

Other:
Two cups fennel tea

[COMMENTS]
I ate copious amounts of cake, yet again. It’s sooo good! Had a liquid lunch which wasn’t great but was out and about at a protest so didn’t really have time/opportunity to get something to eat, other than nomming on cake when I could.



Day Three - 26/6/09 4 months ago

Breakfast:
Slice of cake
Two slices of toast with soya spread

Lunch:
Pasta with grated carrot, mushroom, onion and kale
Slice of cake
Pomegranate and blueberry juice

Dinner:
Pie made with leftover veg concoction from lunch
Oven chips
Orange juice

Dessert:
More cake!
Orange and cranberry juice

Other:
Two glasses of water

[COMMENTS]
Haha, I have eaten sooo much cake since Thursday.
