She Came to Town 5 months ago

We live 500 miles apart. We were close childhood friends and kindrid spirits, although we’ve had different interests since junior high school. We’ve sent each other e-mails occasionally, but this past week she was in town and offered to meet me. We went out for dinner. It was perfectly splendid. It’s funny, I didn’t really eat…we were telling each other so many stories from the past fifteen years.

my friend Bobby 6 months ago

I got in touch with him awhile ago, and I got his email.
He was my best friend back then, right before school ended we got into this stupid arguement that we both apologized to eachother about. I still need to email him.

Getting better... 7 months ago

I went to the Natural History Museum with her last week. I think she really enjoyed it, and halfway through randomly went on a ramble about how much she likes me (I, of course, rambled right back about her much I like HER). I think that’s a good sign.

We’ve discovered a few more interests that we share, and I might be seeing her this Sunday as well, and I’ll attempt to meet up with her the week or so after. Eventually I’d like to get to the stage of friendship with her when I can just call her up for no reason and that won’t be unusual; that goal seems much more realistic now.

Her birthday today! 10 months ago

So I left a message on her answer machine. Yay.

I saw her yesterday... 10 months ago

At my birthday party, and got her number.

She is exceptionally busy, though. I don’t know if she’s going to have time for me. And my normal social fears make everything worse, as well.

I think I might invite her to come to the natural history museum soon-ish (I keep on procrastinating that). I really want to see the exhibition of wildlife photography they’ve got up at the moment, y’see.

But I’m really scared of proposing that, though it is the kind of intellectual thing she’d be up for. Which is a slight issue.

Not this week, but next week I might call her. We’ll see.

Rang her today. 10 months ago

She should be coming to my birthday party on Saturday. =)

I’ll try and establish further contacts then. See if I can turn her into the “hey, I’m bored, what’re you doing today?” type friend again.

Hi

Untitled 2 years ago

I overheard one day they were talking about Legend of Zelda twilight Princess for Gamecube and I asked if I could join them. Being a girl, they were reluctant at first and when they found out I wasn’t befriending them to be “cool” or to collect boys, they accepted me.
There was this guy though, Brandt who let me in on all the info about our interests. We became best friends and tried to hang out at recess all the time. He moved away now, but his friends which are now MY friends told me how much I meant to him and all this goop. I suddenly really want to get in touch again.

MurderSCENExx my birthday is tomorrow

I last saw him 11 years ago 2 years ago

I grew up in Vernon, NJ. When I was young i had a friend named Aaron who used to live kind of down the street from me (I lived in Great Gorge near Mountain Creek.. or Action Park at the time, it is a huge condo complex on the side of a mountain near a ski resort and water park). He became my first real best friend, and since my dad and his dad were friends at the time, we got to spend a lot of time together. When I was 7 (well, going on 8) my parents seperated without warning and I went to go live with my mom without even getting to say goodbye to Aaron. As time went on, I kind of forgot about him, he would only come to mind on very rare occassion. When I was 13 I was going through some old school photos and I came accross my 2nd grade class picture. Aaron was in my class and just looking at it gave me the urge to find him and see how he was doing. I looked up his dad’s number, called him and he gave me Aaron’s number (because he was living with his mom at the time in Highland Lakes). So I called and we spoke for about 15 minutes. It was kind of awkward seeing as he and I hadn’t even seen each other since we were 7, but he remembered me and we kind of caught up as far as living situations go. Now I am almost 18 years old… My parents and I went driving around tonight and we passed by where I used to live in Vernon. We got to talking about Aaron and now that he and I are both older I would love to get back in touch with him again. I mean, maybe it is dumb seeing as it was so long ago that I actually knew the kid, but I guess I just want to make sure his life is okay and that he grew up to be a good person (which I wouldn’t doubt anyway). I tried finding him on Myspace tonight and he had an account but must have shut it down 2 years ago. I really don’t know what else to do. I don’t know how to contact him and would like to avoid awkward phone conversations. Not to mention I don’t know if he even lives in Highland Lakes anymore. I haven’t spoken to him in 5 years, and many things could have changed. All I know is that finding Aaron won’ be an easy goal…

Primary school friends 3 years ago

I recently met up with someone from primary school. I haven’t talked to him for 6/7 years but meetimg again was awesome. It was so nice getting in touch with him that we met up more than once – sometimes primary school friends are the best. =]
